How to Change Rubber Gasket in Vibro Sifter
1. Switch Off the Machine
- Turn off the power.
- Disconnect the power supply for safety.
2. Open the Clamps
- Release the side clamps holding the sieve frame.
- Carefully lift the top cover and screen deck.
3. Remove the Old Gasket
- Take out the worn or damaged rubber gasket from its groove.
- Clean the gasket seat properly using dry cloth.
4. Clean the Gasket Groove
- Ensure there is no powder, dust, or residue.
- A clean seat ensures airtight sealing and prevents leakage.
5. Install the New Gasket
- Place the new food-grade rubber/silicone gasket into the groove.
- Press gently all around so it sits even and aligned.
- Make sure there is no twist or gap.
6. Reassemble the Sifter
- Put the screen frame and cover back in position.
- Close and tighten the clamps uniformly.
7. Test Run
- Switch on the machine.
- Check for vibrations, leakages, or abnormal sound.
- If leakage continues, re-adjust the gasket and tighten clamps evenly.
Key Tips
- Always use food-grade silicone or EPDM gasket.
- Replace gasket if it shows cracks, hardness, cuts, or deformation.
- Do not overtighten clamps—this may damage the gasket.
- Keep extra gaskets in stock for quick maintenance.
